iWay Adapters For OS/390 and z/OS

iWay utilizes an open programming interface to provide ODBC, OLE DB, JDBC, and a native API for accessing a homogenous view of heterogeneous data, converting ANSI SQL to the native Data Manipulation Language (DML) for relational sources, and providing ANSI SQL support for nonrelational data stores. iWay's DML achieves its superior data retrieval capabilities by using native database APIs and C or Java-based interfaces. Our software supports joins and two-phased commits between disparate data sources, including both relational and nonrelational data sources. For example, you can perform a join on tables from Adabas and IDMS. In addition to data access, iWay provides a complete set of tools for creating metadata from both relational and nonrelational data sources. iWay's enhanced metadata capabilities extend to include the ability to create virtual field definitions for any data source.

Meta Data Creation

iWay offers custom dialogs via our Web-based interface for retrieving metadata. These dialogs are available for all of our data sources, including relational catalogs, COBOL FDs, Adabas, IMS, IDMS, Datacom, VSAM, MQ, etc.

Scalability

Installation
