React to Application Events
Event listeners provide a simple way to let packaged applications trigger external processes when specific business events occur. A listener receives an input message from applications such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or Siebel, and then transforms the message into an OAG BOD, which is an industry-standard format. The OAG BOD may then be transformed into a wide variety of other formats, including cXML, xCBL, ebXML, SAP iDOC, ANSI X.12 EDI, and more. It can also be integrated with any other XML document, EDI transaction, relational or nonrelational database, legacy transaction system, or application using a graphical interface.
Interact With Disparate Systems in a Uniform Way
In addition to allowing applications to trigger external events, Application System Adapters also let external events trigger processes within the target application. Packaged applications provide native APIs through C++, Java, CORBA, XML, and more.
